Instagram, Coffee and Friends

Hey Y'all,

THis is my entry to this week's CSI challenge. Last week, I tried, but it just did not happen for me. This week, it went slightly better.

The colors:

My page:

I loved this scheme and enjoyed doing it. The picture I used, of my empty coffee cup, is one of my favs and off my instagram, which I use FAR too much. :P

Amen.

It was just yesterday that I saw the new color challenge over at Scrapfriends and i was so excited that I did the page in about half and hour (not counting all the little things added after). The picture I used is one of my baby cousin (now about twelve) about seven or eight years ago. The colors for this challenge are just gorgeous but I found it difficult to find a picture to match. I might try again with a different picture later :P that's how much I love this color scheme.

The colors:

My Layout:

These colors are just so cute and adorable! Raa! Just like the pic of my cousin saying grace. The words underneath are the lyrics to 'the thankfulness song' by veggietales as it seemed relevant and is one of my favorites.

I look forward to seeing how everybody else has used these colors!

Happy Scrapping!!

Bye Bye Anna

I enjoyed so much working on the most recent sketch over at scrapfriends with my newest scrapbooking kit from American Crafts and my old red alphabet stickers. I love how it turned out.

The Sketch:

My take:

This page is dedicated to Anna leaving NZ to go live in Germany and the journalling talks about how I hope we'll all manage to stay friends (a little cheesy yes, but true). True friends are forever.

Happy scrapping!

Happy Forth of July!

It might be a tad late to wish you a happy Independence day, but I hope you had a great one. Although I am kiwi born and bred, I lived in Boston for a little bit when I was younger, and even though my time there was short, it's played a big part in me becoming who I am. For this reason, me and the fambam enjoy celebrating even down here in NZ.

When I saw the case file over at CSI, I was immediately excited to use it for my forth of July pages. Here it is:

I really liked the tiny bit of green as it refreshed the palette.

My first page shows me and my dad chowing down on some Carl's Jr. Its really the only (fastfood) place in NZ where you can get a decent, American sized burger, as burgers in NZ seem to just be tiny.

My second page shows the food we ate and fireworks (not ours as i didn't get any good pictures sadly), but the thought is there. It seems New Zealanders don't recognize the 4th at all as out neighbors got rather annoyed with us. oops.

I hope you and your families all enjoyed the holiday, celebrating freedom and democracy.

Happy Scrapping

Long time no scrap

Hey y'all,

I've got to apologize for not posting in so long. A lot has gone on in my life recently. Me and my boyfriend broke up, I've started Uni, and I've been working really hard. It sucks that all that has made it near impossible for me to scrap. But now it is Uni holidays and here I am, scrapping.

I've brought out my big scrapbook and started doing layouts from sketches/color challenges online to ease me back into things.

My first layout is for sketchabilities sketch #94, here's the sketch:

I decided to use this sketch to scrap some of my pictures from summer. These photos were taken just outside Raglan, a big surf town in NZ, at Bridal Veil Falls. Me and the fambam went out there for a bit of a hike and to marvel at the beauty of God's creation.

I hope you like my page :) and trust me, there are plenty more to come!!

Happy Scrapping!
